Sample EPC

EPCs are now a legal requirement on all properties that are marketed for sale or rent. The EPC gives a prospective buyer, tenant or home owner information on the energy efficiency of the property, with a grading from A to G - A being the most efficient (commercial EPCs are graded differently to domestic properties). The EPC comes with recommendations for improving the efficiency of the property and shows the projected rating if the recommendations are implemented. Figures are also given for the estimated energy costs of the property. This can be useful when comparing the running costs of a number of properties.

This EPC shows actual rating being the bottom figure and potential rating being the top figure. The potential rating is assuming that you carry out the recommendations for improvement of the property that are sugested in the EPC paperwork.
